I have been in Punta Arenas, Chile for a few days. It has been incredible here surrounded by talented paleontologists and geologists. For the next two months I will be following a paleontological and geological expedition exploring the end of the Cretaceous and age of dinosaurs. The goal being to learn about plants and animals from the Gondwanan landmasses: Africa, South America, Australia, India, and Antarctica. We know about the paleontology and history of the first four, and the new discoveries we make in Antarctica will help us connect the dots between them.
Pictured here we are going through emergency helicopter training and wilderness training to live comfortably when we make it to the Antarctic. I will try to update with posts and photos, but internet connection may be difficult.
